무우수(無憂樹)는 ‘깨달음의 나무’, ‘근심이 없는 나무’란 뜻을 지닙니다.
무우수아카데미는 복잡하고 빨리 변하는 현대사회에서 고통받는 사람들에게 작음 쉼터를 마련해 드리고 싶습니다.
전통문화와 예술의 메카인 서울 인사동 중심에 터를 잡은 무우수아카데미는 불교미술, 한글, 단청, 수묵화, 조각 등 다양한 장르를 통해 한국 미술의 아름다움을 알리며 전문적이고 체계적인 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있습니다. 우리 선조들의 얼과 멋이 심긴 전통을 계승함으로써 삶의 지혜를 얻고 깨달음에 이르고자 함입니다. 아울러 한국문화와 전통미술을 현대적 감각으로 계승하고 발전시키는 젊은 작가들을 발굴하고 양성하고 있습니다.
무우수아카데미는 한국 전통문화와 예술이 세계인들에게 올바로 평가받고 보다 각광받길 기대합니다. 앞으로 무우수의 한걸음 한걸음이 한국문화 예술의 이정표가 될 수 있도록 힘쓰겠습니다.

MOOWOOSOO ACADAMY
MooWooSoo (無憂樹) means ‘tree of enlightenment’ or ‘tree without worries’. MWS academy would like to offer a small shelter for the modern people who got suffered under chaos and uncertainty of modern society.
Since setting up in the center of Insa-dong, Seoul, the mecca of Korean traditional culture and art, MWS has been striving to promote its beauty with different genres such as Buddhist art, Hangul, Dancheong, Ink-wash painting, sculpture. And we have offered professional and systematic educational programs. MWS academy is inspired by the wisdom of life incorporated in the traditional spirit and style of our ancestors. But also we are supporting young artists who inherit and develop Korean traditional culture and art in a modern sense.
MWS wants to make the beauty of Korean art more visible on a global scale and being received highly appreciated. We strive to become a major promoter for Korean Art & Culture.
